My haiku was written about Doc's Little Gem diner in Syracuse. It was a landmark, an icon, and certainly attracted people from all walks of life—hence “scrambled good people.” The coffee hot, comfort food plenty, and you learned a wealth of information from the adjoining booth or counter stool. The friendly staff had a way of equalizing customers as they went about their daily routine of making you feel at home. Diners are a step back in time that everyone enjoys.
