    Poet

    With wide wings like oars

Crows blanket my backyard, cover the park across the street, and loiter in the street. Wall to wall crows fly low, pick garbage, and drop calling cards, not unlike an invasion. To make my peace with crows, I write haiku, choosing the way of poetry and peace rather than guns and violence. I am honored to be chosen for a poster.

Usually, I work in creative non-fiction. Since I am trained in photography and the literary arts, my work tends towards metaphor and imagery. I try to take the music of poetry and make it audible in prose.
