I am a third generation Syracusan. My wife is a distant relative of Comfort Tyler, first white settler of Onondaga Valley. My children (2) and grandchildren (3) were all born in Syracuse.
I have long considered Syracuse a city of scattered gems; modest perhaps but highly valued. Pavone’s pizza, longstanding on Warren Street, is certainly one of those gems!
I found easy inspiration composing this haiku. This armchair poet and pizza lover is pleased to be a part of this wonderful annual project!
