I liked this poem because it was more edgy than the others -- dark and more exciting. Before I chose it, I went with my friends to look at the Hills Building, and if you look closely, it has the signs of the zodiac around it. I knew that would add an interesting design element to my poster.

The rest of my work is mostly portraiture with very little patterning. I was excited to do a piece with a lot of fine detail and intricate designs. This painting started me on a new path, trying to incorporate detailed patterns and design elements into my work.
