The thing about skateboarding is that it has its own aesthetic. What you choose to wear can be very reflective of your personality and interests. I picked up a skateboarding magazine, and you can really see that aesthetic in there. These magazines have cool fonts, exciting photos and good design. I wanted to mimic that in my piece.

The result is very loose, very automatic, almost impulsive. You can still see where I sketched and erased and the grain of the cardboard I worked on. Normally I tend to overwork things, and the images end up being too tight. This has an instinctive quality to it. It has lots of movement.
