    I usually do work in acrylic. As part of my process, I'll shoot a reference photo and scan it into the computer. Then, in Photoshop, I'll adjust the contrast and colors, print the image, and use the print as reference for a painting.

    But this time I decided not to do a painting, and put more time into manipulating the image digitally.
    I still feel I did all the work by hand, just using a different medium.

    I spent the same amount of time on it that I would have if I were painting it. It still looks like my work, like the way I distorted the buildings. It's a worm's eye view from several angles at once. That makes the image dramatic.
